I am so happy I got to attend the panel at IFB’s Dress up Soiree last week because it  was just the inspiration I needed to  get back to blogging the way I used to.

I started my blog back in 2007 because I was inspired by the likes of Agathe at Style Bytes and Vintage Amore (2 blogs that are sadly now defunct) what these bloggers had in common was their love of thrifting.. My favorite posts were always pictures of their “haul” of the day and learning about where they got it from. Thrift Stores, Sidewalk sales, Flea Market…every piece had a story.

I love to shop – I love retail stores as much as the next guy. (Ask my friend Jen who took this picture, I have some kind of obession with Urban Outfitters…and she will no longer even follow me into a Forever21 after the incident where I spent half an hour fnding white jeans and a high waisted skirt in my size only to decided at the register I didn’t need either of those items) – but there is something so exciting about thrifting. Especially Rummage sale digging around until you find that one perfect item that has been on your wishlist for weeks or months- The perfect vintage mini dress, A chain link handbag, once it was a vintage 1980’s Hermes scarf – the second exciting part? Knowing you paid next to nothing for all your tresures!

So I ‘ve decided to bring this blog back to it’s roots- I ‘ll talk about where to shop, and HOW to shopI will reveal all my favorite haunts and of course show you how I put it all together. Expect some failed DIY posts and pictures of friends that I have recently taken inspiration from – and hopefully pictures of gobs of vintage goodies that I will be collecting for one of my next trunk shows.
