I am so lucky that some of my family lives about 40 minutes outside of the city in Sea Cliff Long Island. It allows me to get out of the city once every couple of months and enjoy a little bit of the suburbs. I especially love to go in the summer because my grandma lives super close to the beach and there are plenty of opportunities to go swimming. Last week I brought my friend Megan out with me to enjoy some of the suburban life she has been missing since moving here from Florida, to take some pictures as my Etsy model, and to just enjoy a relaxing day walking along the water for only the cost of a round trip ticket on the Long Island Rail Road ($13.00).
I keep talking about my “summer uniform” well here it is:
That straw fedora is pretty much glued to my head – it cost me $10 off the street.
I wish I could say the dog was permanently glued to my side but alas, little Sophie lives in the country with my grandma where she can run free and terrorize my grandmas standard poodle.
